The absolute audacity of the Taoiseach Enda Kenny reached an all-time high today. Kenny was what effect the water charges would have on low income families, and was there a way for them to be given some relief on the new tax.
Kenny’s response was for people to use their head and “for example, turn off the tap between brushes when brushing your teeth”. The utter ignorance and disbelief of what this politician said today is hard to take. He is on monstrous wages which equates to about €4,000 a week, and he was the gall to be so condescending to the hard working men and women of this country. It’s frankly disgusting.
